Design - production - operation

Plastic gears are increasingly being used in applications with high performance requirements. It is important to note that the design guidelines for plastic gears cannot always follow the established guidelines for steel gears.

Target audience

Gearbox developers, designers, and calculation engineers

Main topics

Basics of plastics, design, measurement technology, production

Objectives

This seminar provides basic knowledge on the design, manufacture, and operation of gearboxes with plastic gears, with consideration of the cylindrical gear geometry, plastic properties, and tribology.
