FVA-Workbench 10: New gearbox design features
The FVA-Workbench is software for the modeling, calculation, and optimization of complex drive systems and transmission elements. The software helps drive technology experts integrate the latest research findings into practice-oriented solutions.
These new features and improvements are included in FVA-Workbench 10, available 17 February, 2025:
1. 2D Modeler:
Allows fast and intuitive gearbox editing. Shafts can be copied from drawings.
2. Faster calculation times:
Bevel gear load capacity calculations can be performed up to 10 times faster thanks to modularization according to ISO 10300.
3. Advanced pitting calculations:
The FVA 411 local pitting calculation has been adapted for cylindrical gears in order to determine all points on the flank. This facilitates the damage comparisons and offers additional options compared to ISO 6336.
4. Variant generator:
Easily create and compare different gear variants, ideal for optimizing gear parameters and bearing concepts.
5. Gear skiving:
Generate the deviation-free nominal profile for skived cylindrical gears and calculate the gear stresses on the tooth flank and in the tooth root
6. Bevel gear calculations:
Improved tooth flank analysis, extended calculation options, and integration of new standards (ISO TS 10300-20:2021, ANSI/AGMA 2003-D19).
7. Quick Results View:
Immediate analysis of calculation results for quick adjustments and optimized development processes.
More information on the new features is available in the release notes.
