Introduction and basics

This in-depth course is aimed specifically at developers with experience in OPC UA. It provides an introduction to the OPC UA Machinery (OPC 40001) standard and presents the required types and concepts of the base model and other relevant companion specifications (DI, Machinery, ISA 95). Participants will then learn about the various building blocks of the Machinery standard based on use cases.

Practical exercises will be used to deepen participants' understanding and enable them to directly apply the knowledge they have acquired to realistic examples.

Target audience

  • Developers, PLC developers, commissioning engineers, system architects

  • Prerequisites: Participants should already have basic OPC UA modeling knowledge, ideally from the "OPC UA for Developers" seminar or "OPC UA in Mechanical Engineering" (MBI)
