Structure, Modbus, Profinet, applications

IO-Link sensors are a key part of the Smart Factory/Industry 4.0 concept. In this seminar, we will demonstrate how IO-Link can be used to implement meaningful, cost-effective machine monitoring. Connections to Siemens PLC systems will also be addressed.

Target audience

Operators of fans, pumps, or general machines with referencing shafts. Particularly interesting for maintenance managers, technical services, and plant managers, as vibration monitoring can provide information about the reliability of machinery.

Main topics

  • IO-Link

  • DIN ISO 20816, parts 3 & 9

  • Vibration monitoring

  • Profinet

  • Modbus TCP

  • Visualization

Objectives

Seminar participants will have an understanding of the entire measurement chain, starting with sensor placement through to visualization and data storage.
