Basics - methods - applications

The consideration of sustainability aspects in the development of technical products will become increasingly important in the future, not least due to legal requirements. A holistic view of the ecological, economic, and social dimensions of sustainability is essential in order to develop successful products in the long term.

Target audience

The seminar is aimed at developers and managers who want to - and in future will have to - take sustainability aspects into account in R&D in addition to the classic objectives of quality, time and costs. No previous knowledge is required!

Main topics

  • Sustainability aspects of technical products

  • Methods for assessing ecological, economic, and social sustainability

  • Holistic approaches to optimization

  • Application of the methods and optimization approaches to examples from drive technology

Objectives

Following the seminar, participants will be familiar with various methods for assessing different dimensions of sustainability and will be able to apply them in their working environment.
